We keep ourselves informed on new lens technologies and material, making them available to our patients as soon as they are released. We have also been involves in trialling new lens products before they go to "market"; with optical laboratories valuing our input on product development.
There have been some new developments in recent times that have made big improvements to image quality and patient lens satisfaction. Free form lens design is a manufacturing process that improves image quality and lens adaptation. Free form lenses are made with machines that use CNC (computer numerically controlled) technology; this allows lens surfaces to be cut and polished with amazing accuracy.
