Arie
Walker graduated
from the University of Melbourne in
1988, and has practiced optometry for
the past 20 years. His first job was
in a paediatric optometry clinic in
Narre Warren, where he gained
experience in children's vision. In 1992 he started his own practice in North Melbourne and spent a few years as a teaching clinician at the Victorian College of Optometry. He also served on the Optometrists Association Victorian Division Council for seven years. Arie, Joe and Lino started their partnership at Vision@Broadway (formerly Reservoir Optical Centre) in 1995, and then opened Vision@Mill Park in 1997. Arie successfully completed a Certificate in Business Management at Latrobe University in 2007. Apart from optometry, Arie enjoys time with his wife and two daughters. He is also keen on fishing, swimming and the Carlton football club. |
| Joe
Grossi has been practicing
optometry for 20 years. He graduated
from the University of Melbourne in
1988. He has worked predominantly in
private practice but has also worked
in community optometry. He worked as a teaching clinician at the Victorian College of Optometry in the early 1990's and has a particular interest in Children's vision. He has a wealth of experience managing children with lazy eyes and squints (turned eyes). He also has an interest in managing children with progressive myopia (shortsightedness). He successfully completed further studies in Behavioural Optometry at the University of NSW in 2002. He is also a member of the OAA, Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia and Provision. In addition to seeing children he also sees "other" patients particularly contact lens wearers. He speaks fluent Italian and together Arie and Lino took over Vision @ Broadway in 1995. |

Alice
McLennan is our newest
optometrist. She graduated in 2010
from the University of Melbourne. She
is passionate about children's vision,
including management of amblyopia
(lazy eye) and strabismus (turned
eye). Other interests include
management of ocular diseases such as
glaucoma and diabetes. Alice spent time in central Mexico in 2010 working in a public optometry clinic which she thoroughly enjoyed. She is a member of the OAA, Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia and Provision. Outside of optometry Alice loves to play mixed netball and spend time with family and friends. |
